We have now sailed along the coast, and have moored up in the marina at Portimao.  We have met up with Roger, Dave's best friend from Plymouth, who also has his boat moored here, adjacent to ours.  We shall be here now for the winter, making short sails out when the weather is fine.

This is our winter berth, with Roger in Drifter next door to us.

Portimao is a pretty place set on a hillside.  It has a long sandy beach, and narrow cobbled streets leading up to the hills.

We are enjoying being driven around in Roger's car to exotic places like  the cinema and the big shops and, of course, plenty of hardware stores!

Weather has changed in the last few days, and we are now waiting on weather to become a  little more settled. We have had rain I  am sure you will all be pleased to know. The clouds are blowing away quickly  and we will soon head off to the Rio Guardiana on the border between Spain  and Portugal.  Hopefully we will meet up with boaty friends made back in  Bayona.

We are well and enjoying life despite the odd hiccup with water pumps that don't pump, cooker burners that don't burn and a bilge pump that wont pump the water out. All good fun and just to make things even better we usually get a wet bum each time we go ashore cos the dinghy has developed an intermittent and very slow leak that needs attention.

Winter is fast approaching and that is when we will solve the problems. Hopefully.

Hope you are all well. Miss you lots. Keep typing and writing.
