News from Kluut up the Rias

We have managed to sail into and up the rias, which are very picturesque, especially Ria de Muros.

Red-roofed houses, narrow cobbled streets, white balconies that reminded us of old Oman, old churches, immaculate working fishing boats, small sandy beaches with their own rock pools, all with the backdrop of wooded hillsides.

We took a bus ride all round the ria and discovered some quaint little villages en route,  rose cottages with some fantastic views. Perfect. Some buildings are in a desperate state of tender loving care, lacking roofs and interiors. A great project for someone. Not us, yet, though as there is plenty to see.

We sail further south each day and the weather is slowly improving although it is still cold out at sea, with that Atlantic Ocean cooling the winds. We have a mixture of rain and sun. When the sun does come out though it is very hot.
